David Moore

David started making at a young age working in mediums from  basic carpentry to electronics and lutherie, falling in love with the story of production. 

Trained as an architect, he began his design career working with several world-class artists (Volkan Alkanoglu and Amy Landesberg) producing large-scale art installations for various institutions and municipalities across the United States. He also worked for several years  in Architecture offices, allowing him to understand the design and construction process as well as the broader built environment. He was also a founding member and lead designer/installations coordinator for the Pillyr Foundation, a nonprofit based in Atlanta that worked in public space amenities.

He founded Referent Studio in 2021 with the intent of expanding his work producing designs for public places. He has designed spaces and works for public buildings and environments, as well as continuing his interest in non-profit/charitable work for various organizations within the community.
